Concert on the 10the anniversary of "Organ in France"

We wanted to share our enthusiasm for the river concert of improvisations on the organ of the Saint-Eustache church on the night of Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 8 p.m. to Sunday, October 24, at 8 a.m.! 12 minutes flat per organist, who took turns in perfect continuity, taking over the keyboard without interruption and even often respecting the previous style for a few bars. As the console made by Van den Heuvel in 1989 (one of the first to be equipped with midi controls and associated recording facilities) is placed in the nave, the listeners could follow the complexity of the concert performers' playing. The 60 organists having a very pronounced difference in style and registration, reinforced by the aspect of improvisation, the palette of pieces was very rich and all registration options were experimented with, including playing on the registers themselves. This evening sets a double record: the longest uninterrupted improvisation by the largest number of organists. You can find all the information on the program and the 60 organists at the next page.

A big congratulations to "Orgue en France" for the festival organized on the occasion of their 10th anniversarye birthday !
